Chapter Bio
Established in or around 1983-1984, a small group of modelers came together mainly to display mostly aircraft for an airshow at what was then Pope Air Force Base. A few weeks later, Lafayette Scale Modelers was born, meeting then at Hayes Hobby House, one of the finest hobby shops on the East Coast!
The Club continued to grow, having swap meets and model contests when able. We have also done model building demonstrations at stores, malls, libraries and the last air show conducted at Pope Air Force Base in 2007.
We now meet at the Hobbytown USA hobby shop located at 935 Bragg Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28301
